How Sales Work. Firearms can be purchased for local pickup in Georgia or shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL) in the buyer's home state, where the buyer completes the transfer and any required background check. We do not transfer firearms directly to non-licensees who reside outside of Georgia.
Background Checks. For in-person sales completed at our location, buyers without a valid, current Georgia Weapons Carry License (GWCL) must pass a federal background check (NICS); buyers presenting a valid, current GWCL are exempt from the point-of-sale NICS check as permitted under federal and Georgia law. For out-of-state buyers, the background check is performed by the receiving FFL in the buyer's state, subject to that state's laws.
